2019 Blackhawks training camp: Tim Soderlund, 4 others assigned to AHL

The Blackhawks made their second roster cut of training camp Friday by assigning forwards Nathan Noel, Graham Knott, Dylan McLaughlin and Tim Soderlund and defenseman Jake Ryczek to the AHL.

On Thursday, the Blackhawks assigned goaltender Alexis Gravel to the Halifax Mooseheads ahead of the team’s QMJHL season opener.

Chicago is expect to make more roster cuts after its home game Saturday against Boston at the United Center. The Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, begin their first training camp under head coach Derek King on Sunday at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

Chicago now has 28 forwards, 16 defensemen and five goaltenders in camp.
