Second City Hockey will begin its 2019-20 preseason Top 25 Under 25 rankings series with three introductory articles prior to opening voting at 5 p.m. Monday, July 29. There will be a staff and community ranking system, with profiles based on rankings starting to roll out Monday, Aug. 5.
Only five forwards and three defensemen will return next season from the Blackhawks’ starting lineup for the 2018-19 season. The Blackhawks have seen more change in their organization in the last 12 months than nearly any other team, including new head coaches and assistant coaches at every level.
The young players in the organization also had some turnover with five players from Second City Hockey’s 2018-19 mid-season Top 25 Under 25 rankings leaving the organization by trade or free agency.
Goaltender Collin Delia is the lone player to graduate out of the rankings based on age. The age cutoff is Oct. 1, 2019.
