2019 World Championship: May 15 schedule, TV, game thread

The sixth day of the preliminary round at the World Championship in Slovakia will feature five Blackhawks players and prospect Philipp Kurashev.

Both Group A games will be televised on NHL Network, and showcase three Blackhawks. Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane (United States) start off the day against Great Britain, who sits in the cellar of the group after a 9-0 loss to Denmark on Tuesday. DeBrincat (three goals, one assist) shares the team lead in scoring with Buffalo’s Jack Eichel (four assists) at four points. Kane has three points (one goal, two assists).

Dominik Kahun (Germany) takes on hosts Slovakia in the next game. He has two assists in three tournament games for the group leading Germans.

In Group B play, prospect Philipp Kurashev (Switzerland) faces Andreas Martinsen (Norway). Kurashev, a 2018 fourth-round draft pick, is averaging a point per game with a goal and two assists for the Group B leaders, while Martinsen has two assists in three outings.

Artem Anisimov (Russia) closes out the day against Italy, who have been outscored 20-0 in the tournament. Anisimov has one goal in the tournament for Russia, who are in second place in the group.
