The eighth day of the preliminary round at the World Championship in Slovakia will showcase two Blackhawks players and two prospects.
In Group A play, defenseman Henri Jokiharju and goalie prospect Kevin Lankinen (Finland) will face off against Great Britain. Jokiharju has yet to record a point in the tournament. Lankinen has only allowed one goal in three wins. Great Britain is 0-4, but has scored four goals in the tournament. The first game of Group A will see former Blackhawks Marko Dano and Richard Panik suit up for host Slovakia against France.
In Group B action, Andreas Martinsen and Norway take on Austria. Martinsen has two assists in the tournament. Both Austria and Norway are 0-4.
Forward prospect Dominik Kubalik and the Czech Republic face off against Italy, who have yet to score a goal. Kubalik has two goals and three assists in four games.
