2019 World Championship: May 18 schedule, TV, game thread

The ninth day of the preliminary round for the World Championship in Slovakia will have eight Blackhawks players and two prospects in action.

Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane (United States) start things off in Group A against prospect Mathias From (Denmark). Kane leads the Americans in scoring with six points, while DeBrincat is tied with Buffalo’s Jake Eichel for second at five points. From made his senior men’s national team debut in the Danes’ last game.

The next tilt features Dylan Strome (Canada) against Dominik Kahun (Germany).

In Group B play, Artem Anisimov (Russia) faces Latvia in the early game.

Andreas Martinsen (Norway) meets lowly Italy, who has yet to score a goal in the tournament.

Erik Gustafsson and Marcus Kruger (Sweden) cap the day by taking on prospect Philipp Kurashev (Switzerland).
