2019 World Championship: Blackhawks prospect Philipp Kurashev scores for Switzerland

Switzerland 4, Austria 0

Blackhawks prospect Philipp Kurashev scored a late third-period goal in Switzerland’s shutout victory against Austria.

The 2018 fourth-pick is averaging a point per game with a goal and two assists in his first senior level tournament.

Germany 4, France 1

Dominik Kahun recorded an assist on Leon Draisaitl’s goal to give Germany a 3-1 lead in the second period. Kahun took the puck behind the net and slipped a feed between French defenseman Florian Chakiachvili and goaltender Florian Hardy to Draisaitl for a goal.

Kahun has two assists in three tournament games.

Denmark 9, Great Britain 0

Another prospect in forward Mathias From remained out of the lineup in Denmark’s big win over Great Britain. The 2016 fifth-round pick has yet to play for the Danes.
