The IceHogs start their three-game Texas road trip Friday when they visit the Texas Stars in Cedar Park.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the White Sox signed Jon Jay to a one-year contract worth $4 million.

The Red Stars selected eight players, including defender Tierna Davidson from Stanford with the No. 1 overall pick in the NWSL College Draft. The Fire hold the No. 5 pick for the MLS SuperDraft on Friday.
