Canada v Switzerland: Exhibition - 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship

Blackhawks defenseman prospect Ian Mitchell scored his first goal of the World Junior Championship on Wednesday in Vancouver.

Mitchell jumped into the action and ripped a shot high to the glove side for the opening goal against Finland in the second period in the quarterfinal matchup at Rogers Arena.

Canada couldn’t hold off Finland though as they rallied to win 2-1 in overtime to knock off the reigning tournament champions.

Mitchell, who was drafted in the second round in the 2017 NHL draft by Chicago, had one goal and two assists in five tournament games.
