The Blackhawks recalled forward Matthew Highmore from the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL on Monday morning.

Highmore has four goals and 10 points in 17 AHL games this season after missing the majority of last season with a shoulder injury, recording only nine points (three goals, six assists) in 12 games. The 23-year-old had two goals in 13 NHL games with the Blackhawks during the 2017-18 season.

The Blackhawks placed forward Drake Caggiula (concussion protocol) on injured reserve Saturday, so the team’s roster now stands at 22 players. Chicago hosts the Stars for the second half of an extended home-and-home Tuesday, while the IceHogs face off against the Rampage (Blues) for the second time in three days on the same night in San Antonio.
