Kane had 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) during his streak, which is the longest in the NHL this season. He’s the 13th player in NHL history with a point streak of at least 15 games in consecutive seasons.
It’s the third time this season the Blackhawks (10-12-5) have been shut out after a 4-0 loss Oct. 26 in Carolina and a 3-0 loss Oct. 29 in Nashville.
Jake Allen made 38 saves for the Blues (18-5-6), which won its fourth straight and stretched their road point streak to 10 games. Jaden Schwartz scored a power play goal and had an assist, and MacKenzie MacEachern, Brayden Schenn and Tyler Bozek each scored a goal.
MacEachern put the Blues up 1-0 at 2:34 of the first period. Vince Dunn dumped the puck into the Blackhawks zone and it bounced off the boards then over Crawford’s stick to MacEachern, who who buried a backhander into the net.
A questionable tripping call on Kane led to the Blues taking a 2-0 lead on the power play at 14:22. Schwartz parked in front of Crawford and redirected Alex Pietrangelo’s shot into the net just 14 seconds into the man advantage to double the Blues’ lead.

Nathan Walker backhanded a pass to the right face-off circle to Schenn, who sent the bouncing puck past Crawford top shelf off the crossbar to make it 3-0 at 8:56. Bozek added another goal at 18:11 off an errant pass by Olli Maatta for the 4-0 final.
Need to know
The Blackhawks were down one skater — 11 forwards and six defensemen — due to financial reasons. Goaltender Robin Lehner (flu), forwards Drake Caggiula (concussion on long-term injured reserve) Andrew Shaw (undisclosed) and Dylan Strome (concussion) and defenseman Duncan Keith (groin) were all out with injuries. Chicago recalled goaltender Kevin Lankinen from the AHL on an emergency basis to back up Crawford, and defenseman Ian McCoshen was reassigned to Rockford to be salary cap compliant. Even with the moves, the Blackhawks didn’t have enough salary cap space to accommodate another forward.
