NHL: Chicago Blackhawks at Buffalo Sabres Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Kane scored his 900th career NHL point as the Blackhawks extended their winning streak to three games with a 7-3 victory over the Sabres on Friday in Buffalo. Chicago plays the second half of a back-to-back Saturday against the Wild in Minnesota.

Alexandre Fortin scored twice, and Henri Jokiharju tallied his first professional goal in his AHL debut to lead the IceHogs to their third consecutive victory with a 5-2 win over the Chicago Wolves. Rockford visits the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday before a three-day break.

Former Blackhawk forwards Dave Donnelly and Jordin Tootoo turn 57 and 36, respectively on Saturday.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Cubs signed reliever Tony Barnette to a one-year deal. The Sky also inked Cheyenne Parker to a multi-year contract.

The Bulls visit the Hornets on Saturday in Charlotte.
