Patrick Kane extended his point streak to 20 games, but the Blackhawks allowed three third-period goals in a 5-2 loss to the Avalanche on Friday at the United Center. The Blackhawks are off Saturday before hosting the Stars on Sunday.

The IceHogs begin their back-to-back road swing out East on Saturday when they visit Hershey.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, Lauri Markannen made two free throws with 1.5 seconds left to lift the Bulls to a 110-109 win over the Magic in Orlando. The Bulls host the Celtics on Saturday at the United Center.

The Cubs and White Sox both begin playing spring training games Saturday.
