The Blackhawks will host their inaugural fantasy camp dubbed the Legends Cup from March 22-24 at MB Ice Arena and the United Center.
The three-day, four-team tournament will give adult hockey players 21 and older the opportunity to play with and against Blackhawks alumni for $5,000. Among the confirmed alumni are Pro Hockey Hall of Famers Denis Savard and Chris Chelios as well as Stanley Cup winners Brian Campbell (2010), Ben Eager (2010) and Jamal Mayers (2013). Emergency backup goaltender Scott Foster will also attend.
Participants will play in at least four games and be involved in a practice and video session. Each team will have at least two Blackhawks alumni and a celebrity coach.
Camp participants will receive personalized hockey gear, including home and away jerseys, a private watch party for the Blackhawks’ March 23 game at Colorado and a suite ticket to the March 24 home game vs. Colorado. Meals and accommodations are also included with a four-night stay at the Westin on Michigan Avenue.
Proceeds for the event will benefit the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation to provide scholarships for youth hockey players. For more information, visit blackhawks.com/legendscup.
