2019 Stanley Cup playoffs: April 11 open thread

Here’s your place to discuss all the action.

The second day of the Stanley Cup playoffs will feature three games Thursday night.

The Maple Leafs and Bruins face off in the first round for a second straight year. Boston defeated Toronto in seven games last season. The Bruins, however, hasn’t made it to the Eastern Conference Final since 2013. The Maple Leafs are searching for their first series win since 2004.

The Capitals start their Stanley Cup defense against the Hurricanes, who are in the playoffs after a 10-year absence.

Once the Maple Leafs-Bruins finish up, the Avalanche and Flames will drop the puck in Calgary. The Flames, who had the best record in the Western Conference, will be wearing their retro uniforms. The only thing hotter than Calgary’s uniforms is the Avalanche, who went 8-1-2 down the stretch.

Thursday’s schedule

Game 1: Maple Leafs at Bruins, 6 p.m. (NBCSN)

Game 1: Hurricanes at Capitals, 6:30 p.m. (USA)

Game 1: Avalanche at Flames, 9 p.m. (NBCSN)
