2019 World Championship: May 17 schedule, TV, game thread

Two Blackhawks players and two prospects are set to play.

The eighth day of the preliminary round at the World Championship in Slovakia will showcase two Blackhawks players and two prospects.

In Group A play, defenseman Henri Jokiharju and goalie prospect Kevin Lankinen (Finland) will face off against Great Britain. Jokiharju has yet to record a point in the tournament. Lankinen has only allowed one goal in three wins. Great Britain is 0-4, but has scored four goals in the tournament. The first game of Group A will see former Blackhawks Marko Dano and Richard Panik suit up for host Slovakia against France.

In Group B action, Andreas Martinsen and Norway take on Austria. Martinsen has two assists in the tournament. Both Austria and Norway are 0-4.

Forward prospect Dominik Kubalik and the Czech Republic face off against Italy, who have yet to score a goal. Kubalik has two goals and three assists in four games.

A: France vs. Slovakia, 9 a.m. (NHLN)

A: Finland vs. Great Britain, 1 p.m.

B: Austria vs. Norway, 9 a.m.

B: Czech Republic vs. Italy, 1 p.m. (NHLN)
