Blackhawks prospect Jake Massie announced he’ll leave the University of Vermont and forego his senior season to pursue professional hockey. He could sign an AHL deal with the Rockford IceHogs or head overseas.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the White Sox powered their way past Cleveland 10-4. The U.S. Open fourth round draw set the Fire for a road match against Saint Louis FC on June 11.

On Friday, the Cubs begin a series in St. Louis against the Cardinals. The White Sox continue their series against Cleveland.
