The Blackhawks selected center Kirby Dach with the No. 3 overall pick in the NHL draft Friday in Vancouver. Chicago enters the second day (rounds 2-7) with five selections.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Sky’s win steak ended at four games with a 76-69 loss to the Fever at home. Eloy Jimenez scored on Yolmer Sanchez’s sacrifice squeeze bunt by Yolmer Sanchez in the 10th inning to lift the White Sox past the Texas Rangers 5-4 in 10 innings. The Cubs fell 5-4 to the Mets

On Saturday, Red Stars striker Sam Kerr and Australia play Norway in the Round of 16 at the World Cup. the Fire host Real Salt Lake at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview. The Cubs and White Sox both continue their respective series.
