The Blackhawks selected five players on Day 2 of the NHL draft Saturday in Vancouver.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, Red Stars striker Sam Kerr and Australia were eliminated from the World Cup with a loss in penalty kicks to Norway in the Round of 16. The Fire settled for a 1-1 draw against Real Salt Lake. The Cubs got blasted by the Mets in a 10-2 loss. The White coughed up a four-run lead in a 6-5 loss to the Texas Rangers.

On Sunday, the Red Stars host the Seattle Reign. The Cubs and White Sox both play.
