NHL: Boston Bruins at Chicago Blackhawks Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

On the latest SCH Podcast, Brad, Brandon and Dave react to the Blackhawks trading Artem Anisimov to the Senators for Zack Smith. The trio discusses why Anisimov was traded, the role Smith could have with the Blackhawks next season and the areas he benefits the team compared to Anisimov.

The trio also talks about possibility of general manager Stan Bowman being done making moves and what to look forward to during Friday’s scrimmage at prospect camp.

(Brad and Dave discuss vacation packing habits at the start.)

6:15 — Initial trade reactions

11:00 — Smith’s faceoff ability and PK play

13:05 — Smith brings veteran presence like Anisimov

14:40 — Where does Smith plug into the lineup

19:10 — Is GM Stan Bowman done making moves?

22:00 — Players to watch during Friday’s scrimmage at prospect camp

(Note: Brad confused Wouter Peeters and Alexis Gravel at the end. Peeters is not attending camp and does not appear to have a future with the organization. Gravel played well this past season in the QMJHL and is at camp.
