Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Red Stars’ five-match win streak was snapped in a 2-1 loss to Sky Blue FC. The Fire’s comeback came up short in a 3-2 road loss against the Timbers. James McCann hit a tiebreaking grand slam in the eighth inning to power the White Sox past the Astros 13-9. The Cubs fell 11-1 to the Phillies.

On Thursday, the Cubs play the Phillies. The White Sox head west to play the Angels.
