Patrick Kane is the 15th-best player in the NHL, according to his 91 overall rating in EA Sports’ NHL 21 video game. EA Sports released the right wing’s rating as part of its annual ratings reveal for the top 50 players prior to the game’s release Oct. 13 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Kane is among 12 players to have a 91 rating: Victor Hedman (Lightning), Brad Machand (Bruins), Patrice Bergeron (Bruins), John Carlson (Capitals), Andrei Vasilevskiy (Lightning), Jack Eichel (Sabres), Evgeni Malkin (Penguins), David Pastrnak (Bruins), Artemi Panarin (Rangers), Jonathan Huberdeau (Panthers) and Drew Doughty (Kings).

Connor McDavid (Oilers) is the top-rated player yet again with a 95, which is up one point from last year’s game, and ahead of Alex Ovechkin (Capitals) and Sidney Crosby (Penguins), both of whom have 93. Nathan MacKinnon (Avalanche), Leon Draisaitl (Oilers) and Nikita Kucherov (Lightning) all have 92.

Kane led the Blackhawks with 33 goals, 51 assists and 84 points in 70 regular season games, and added a team-high seven assists and nine points in nine postseason games. He was the sixth-best player in last year’s game and eighth-best in NHL 19 with a 91 rating both times.
