The Blackhawks failed to gain ground in the Western Conference wild-card race, losing to the Red Wings 2-1 in Detroit.

Collin Delia made 34 saves for the IceHogs to defeat the Griffins 4-0 on Friday in Rockford. The IceHogs and Griffins play again at 6 p.m. Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
