The second day of the first round has one more game on the schedule than expected after the Bruins and Hurricanes game was rescheduled from Tuesday.

With Game 1 between the Blue Jackets and Lightning going to five overtimes, the NHL decided to move the Boston-Carolina Game 1 to Wednesday because the game wouldn’t have started until 11 p.m. Eastern time at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The NHL will hope the Bruins and Hurricanes wrap up much earlier than the Blue Jackets and Lightning did because the Islanders and Capitals are scheduled play right after Boston-Carolina.

The Coyotes play the Avalanche in the first game of the day at Rogers Place in Edmonton then the Canadiens drop the puck against the Flyers back in Toronto. The Canucks and Blues close out the day in Edmonton.
