John Quenneville will draw into the lineup and Alex Nylander will be scratched for the Blackhawks against the Golden Knights in Game 5 of their Western Conference first-round series Tuesday at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
Nylander has no points and 11 shots in eight postseason games. He had 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) in 65 regular-season games before the NHL was paused March 12 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Quenneville skated 6:04 across nine shifts in Chicago’s 6-3 loss to the Oilers in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. He did not score a point in nine NHL games this season and had 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 36 AHL games for the Rockford IceHogs.
Quenneville will start on the top line with Jonathan Toews and Dominik Kubalik, while Brandon Saad drops down to the third line with Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Strome.
