The second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs moves along with two opening games Sunday night.
In the Eastern Conference, the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Bruins meet the Lightning at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Both Boston and Tampa won their respective first-round series in five games Aug. 19. The Lightning played more with six overtime frames, including five in Game 1 against the Blue Jackets, while Boston only had one overtime game against Carolina with two extra periods in Game 1.
In the Western Conference, the Canucks and Golden Knights will clash at Rogers Place in Edmonton. Vancouver was the last team to advance to the second round with a 6-2 win to eliminate the Blues in six games Friday. Vegas, meanwhile, was the first team to punch its ticket to the second with a five-game series win against the Blackhawks Aug. 18.
