Welcome to the fourth episode of Monday Morning Deep Dish for the 2021 season here on the Second City Hockey podcast network, your occasional destination for in-depth dives on a particular subject around the Chicago Blackhawks.

Shepard, Jenelle and LBR gathered to discuss what matters more in modern hockey, analytics or puck luck (and break down PDO). They discuss what makes a team good including outliers. They talk about why hockey can be the most chaotic of the big four sports, what happens when bad teams go on lucky streaks and why some good teams analytically get bad luck. In addition, the trio discusses what is wrong with the Blackhawks’ current system and how to fix it.
