Game 34 Preview And Open Thread: Blackhawks @ Senators

Sorry for the lack of updates in the past couple days, again my internet has been off-and-on so it’s been tough to get on, and it’s still not a very “stable” connection right now, so I’ll just do a quick little preview of tonight’s game:

Hawks are looking to get a win in Ottawa tonight as they take on the Senators. They are just coming off of a strong 5-2 win over the Predators on Wednesday night at the United Center, a game in which I’d give the SCH Hawks Player Of The Game award to Robert Lang, who potted a couple of goals and played strong offensively all night long.

It’s going to be a tough road matchup for the Hawks tonight, because the Senators are 22-8-3 on the year, giving them 47 points, which is the second most in the NHL, as only Detroit has more (53). They have such talented players as Daniel Alfredsson, Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza up front on offense, so the Hawks’ defensive corps will have their work cut out for them. Speaking of which, Cam Barker was recalled and Magnus Johansson is gone, which was effective on Thursday. Thank god.

If the Hawks work hard for 60 minutes and limit their turnovers in a big way, they might have a chance to win tonight, but the power play will probably have to chip in and Nikolai Khabibulin is going to have to be sharp in goal.
