Adam Boqvist out, Lucas Carlsson in for Blackhawks vs. Golden Knights in Game 2

Lucas Carlsson will draw into the lineup and Adam Boqvist will be scratched for the Blackhawks against the Golden Knights in Game 2 of their Western Conference first-round series Thursday.

Boqvist has no points and six shots on goal while averaging 14:11 in five postseason games. He was on the ice for two goals against in 17:22 during the Blackhawks’ 4-1 loss to Vegas in Game 1.

As part of the NHL Return to Play Plan, a team is not permitted to disclose player injury or illness information.

Carlsson, who scored 26 points (five goals, 21 assists) in 48 AHL games and one assist in six NHL games, will be paired with Connor Murphy. Carlsson has not played since Chicago’s 6-2 win against the Sharks on March 11, both teams final game before the NHL was paused due to concerns about COVID-19.

Calvin de Haan will take Boqvist’s spot on the first pairing with Duncan Keith.
