The Blackhawks took to social media on Friday morning to announced that the all-black home uniforms from the 1990s and 2000s are returning this season for select games at the United Center:

There was also a social media nod to another guy who sported all-black uniforms inside the United Center in the 90s:
Yes, the black jerseys are back with the team saying on social media that they’re the “most requested jersey in Blackhawks history,” although those familiar with the barber-pole look from earlier in the 90s may have different thoughts on that.

One excellent idea the Blackhawks are having with this unveiling is encouraging fans to join the team in wearing all black for specific home games throughout the rest of the season starting with a pair of games later this month: next Friday against the Nashville Predators and then two days after that against the Anaheim Ducks. A blacked-out UC crowd should boost the interior aesthetics for those games.
