Blackhawks 2017 playoff picture: March 19

The Chicago Blackhawks have 11 games left in the regular season and are fighting for playoff positioning. Each day until the end of the regular season, we’ll breakdown their chances at a spot and seeding in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Saturday’s results

The Hawks wrapped up their three-game Canadian road trip with a win at Toronto to move five points clear of Minnesota for the Central Division lead. Minnesota fell to the New York Rangers. St. Louis moved into third with a win over Arizona while Nashville dropped to the second wild-card spot after a loss to Carolina.

In the Pacific Division, Anaheim beat San Jose to climb within four points of the first-place Sharks. The Oilers also moved up to third with a shutout win over Vancouver while idle Calgary fell to the wild card.
