We are going to find out what the reigning Stanley Cup champions are made of tonight. Yes, they fell behind 2-0 to the St. Louis Blues and then won four straight, but they are not facing the Blues this time around. The word streak has been a theme for the Blackhawks all season long. The Kings have won all 7 of their home playoff games this season and 14 straight overall at the Staples Center. The Blackhawks are riding a 5 game winning streak but with only one of those wins away from the United Center. The Hawks did boast an 18-4-2 road record during the regular season, the best in the NHL, but are only 2-3 in the post season so far. In order to have a real good shot at winning this series, the Kings are going to have to win both Games 3 and 4 in LA. If the Hawks split and bring back a 3-1 lead back to the Chicago, this series will be all but over, especially with the way the Kings have been playing on the road. As I stated earlier, if the Kings continue to let the Hawks play their game and be pushed around, this series ends on Thursday night. LA will get a big boost from their home crowd full, so another early go will go a long way tonight. Time to send Matthew Perry, David Beckham and all the other beautiful people who show up to Kings games home crying.
