Congratulations to Jeff Carter, whose dirty antics where just sneaky enough to get Duncan Keith suspended for tonight's game. Brendan Shanahan pretty much told everybody that Keith's high stick was in reaction to Carter "chopping down" on his exposed hand. I'm sorry, but if you intentionally try to smash an exposed hand with your stick you deserve to get whacked in the mouth. The problem is, you aren't allowed to hit people in mouth with your stick so Dunc's suspension is valid and also deserved. So who has to step up in Keith's absence tonight? Everybody! It's not just Sheldon Brookbank, who will replace Keith in the lineup tonight, that needs to "bring it" tonight, its all 18 forwards and 6 defensemen. One person can not replace #2 so the whole team needs to play a smarter more responsible game tonight. Their best players need to be their best players tonight. Patrick Kane has been under attack by Chicago's media for being "invisible." The fact is Kane and Jonathan Toews have combined for just 17 points in the playoffs so far. Tonight would be the perfect time for one of those guys, if not both, to finally have that breakout playoff game. If the Hawks start off with the energy they had to end Game 3 they should be fine. And for God's sake, when you have a chance to shoot get the damn puck to the net! 20 shots on Jonathan Quick is not nearly enough to get the job done.
