Morning Bag Skate: A big season for Nick Leddy, and an extension for Craig Anderson

It’s Tuesday, which means we’re two weeks from the release of NHL 15 for those you into hockey’s premier video game. I’ll definitely be buying it for my PS4 on Day 1, and can’t wait to see how EA Sports delivers on next-gen consoles. Anyways, here’s the latest from around the Blackhawks and the NHL:

**Why 2014-15 is a “make-or-break season” for Nick Leddy. Definitely cannot deny the impact his upcoming play will have on his next contract. (Bleacher Report)

**The Senators agreed to a three-year, $12.6 million extension with goaltender Craig Anderson (Senators)

**The Penguins, on the other hand, have no plans to sign a new deal with Marc-Andre Fleury soon (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)

**Nicklas Lidstrom turned down an offer to join Mike Babcock’s staff in Detroit next season (The Score)

**Interesting feature on Darryl Sutter’s life in Viking, because of course Daryl Sutter lives in a town called Viking (L.A. Times)

**Rich Clune clearly doesn’t like getting chirped at on social media (On The Forecheck)

**Leafs president Brendan Shanahan is hopeful David Clarkson will regain his scoring touch next season (Ottawa Sun)

**New jerseys for the Blues, shockingly featuring the color blue (SportsLogos.net)
