Blackhawks playoff picture: April 5
Here's a look at the Blackhawks' playoff seeding chances heading into Sunday's games.
The Chicago Blackhawks have a week left in the regular-season and are fighting for a playoff seeding. Each day until the end of the regular-season, we'll breakdown their chances at seeding in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild each salvaged a point at home. The Predators fell 4-3 in overtime to the Dallas Stars, while the Wild couldn't fend off the Detroit Red Wings in a 3-2 overtime loss. The Los Angeles Kings also defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 at Staples Center.
Sunday's scoreboard watch
The Blackhawks host the St. Louis Blues in the only game featuring Western Conference teams. The four other games Sunday involve Eastern Conference teams battling for playoff berths.

The Central Division race is in the home stretch. The Blackhawks have four games remaining, and two of those are against the Blues. A victory of any kind by the Blues would move them ahead of Nashville into first place in the division, though the Predators would have a game in hand. A regulation victory by Chicago would put them and the Predators into a first-place tie, although the Predators would have an extra game to play and one more ROW win. An overtime or shootout victory by Chicago would put all three teams in a deadlock at 104 points, though Nashville again would have a tiebreaker. St. Louis also play the Wild and Jets in the final week. The Predators play the Stars twice, and the Wild and the Avalanche.
