Blackhawks prospect camp 2016 schedule and roster

Nick Schmaltz, Gustav Forsling and Tyler Motte will be among the top prospects in attendance at the Chicago Blackhawks‘ prospect camp this year. The team released the full schedule and roster for the upcoming camp, which gives team officials, media and fans an extended look at the organization’s many young players, on Thursday.

Schmaltz and Forsling are arguably the two biggest names participating, although pretty much every top prospect affiliated with the Hawks will be there. That includes 2016 second-round picks Alex DeBrincat and Chad Krys, although the team’s other second-round selection, Russian forward Artur Kayumov, will not be in Chicago.

Loads of other young players whose rights aren’t held by the Blackhawks will also be participating in hopes of impressing scouts and coaches, too. So if you notice some names on the full rosters that aren’t familiar at all, there’s a good chance it’s a player not in the Hawks’ system who’s been invited to the camp anyway.

All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public at Johnny’s IceHouse West. Here are the schedule and roster for the 2016 prospect camp:
