Blackhawks prospect tournament roster 2017: Alex DeBrincat leads group for Traverse City

Here’s the team Chicago will be bringing to Michigan for the 2017 prospect tourney.

Top prospect Alex DeBrincat leads the Chicago Blackhawks’ roster for the upcoming prospect tournament in Traverse City, Mich. He’ll be looking to make an impression as he pushes for a spot on the NHL roster to open the 2017-18 season.

The roster announced by the Blackhawks includes 14 forwards, seven defensemen, and three goaltenders. Here’s the full list, via the team’s website:

Most of these players are under contract or have their rights held by the Blackhawks, with the exceptions of Caron, Cramarossa, Maksimovich, Pelletier, Henley, Keane, Raddysh, and Tomkins. Pelletier, Raddysh, and Tomkins have AHL contracts with the Rockford IceHogs for the upcoming season.

The prospect tournament is set for Sept. 8-12 in Traverse City. The Hawks’ prospect group will face teams from the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, and St. Louis Blues.
