Blackhawks recall Dylan Sikura from AHL

The Blackhawks recalled forward Dylan Sikura from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Monday.

Sikura had no goals and three assists in 11 NHL games before being re-assigned to the IceHogs on Jan. 5. The 23-year-old has scored four goals and eight assists in 14 games since being sent down to the AHL. He has 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists) in 30 AHL games this season.

For Sikura, the call up is an opportunity to play in his college town of Boston on Tuesday. The 2014 sixth-round draft pick played four seasons at Northeastern University, where he was selected as a Hobey Baker Award finalist after posting 54 points (22 goals, 32 assists) in 35 games during his senior season for the Huskies.

The roster move puts the Blackhawks at 12 forwards after center David Kampf was sidelined for three to four weeks with a broken bone in his right foot. Chicago has not officially placed Kampf on injured reserve.
