April 21st, 2012. That's the last time Jonathan Toews scored a playoff goal, the OT winner in Game 5 versus the Coyotes. That was nine playoff games ago. The captain is long overdue to light the lamp and tonight would be the best time for him to do so. The difference in the last two games has been the Hawks top two lines lack of production. All the players and coaches have spent the last two days saying all the right things. "We've got to score more goals." "We need more traffic in front of the net." "We've got to play our game." Blah, blah, blah. It's time to stop saying the right things and to start doing them on the ice. Normally at this point of the day I would be a nervous wreck for a game like tonight's. But for some reason that isn't the case. I feel pretty confident the Hawks' stars will lead them in a great bounce back game. And if I'm wrong, well my liver will hate me in the morning.
