Blackhawks release 2018 preseason schedule
Chicago will start the preseason with three straight road games, including a back-to-back.
The Chicago Blackhawks will open the 2018-19 preseason Tuesday, Sept. 18, against the Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The Hawks unveiled their complete six-game preseason schedule Friday morning on the three-year anniversary of its last Stanley Cup victory.
Chicago begins the preseason with three road games before hosting the final three.
After visiting Columbus, the Hawks travel to Detroit to face the Red Wings on Sept. 20 then head north the next night to Ottawa to face the Senators. Chicago will host Detroit (Sept. 25), Ottawa (Sept. 27) and Columbus (Sept. 29) before the start of the regular season.
The Hawks went 4-2 during the preseason last year, including home wins against Detroit and Boston and road victories in Columbus and Detroit.

The NHL will announce each team’s regular-season home opener at noon Wednesday, June 20 before the complete regular-season slate is unveiled at 4 p.m. the next day. The full schedule release will be broadcasted live on NHL Network.
