2019 NHL All-Star Game: Blackhawks’ Scott Foster, Patrick Kane featured in “Silicon Valley” inspired video

With the NHL All-Star Game in San Jose, California, NBC is trying its best to incorporate things from the area to the NHL. So NBC released a video inspired by the opening credits to HBO’s “Silicon Valley” television series with several tie-ins to NHL teams.

The video features not one but two Blackhawks references: emergency backup goaltender Scott Foster and star winger Patrick Kane. A building with a sign “Fosters Accounting” is included as well as Kane flying through the air like Superman as a call back to the 2012 All-Star Skills Competition when Kane dressed up like the superhero.

Foster, a 36-year-old accountant at Golub Capital in Chicago, became an viral sensation last March after coming in to finish a 6-2 win against the Jets. Backup goalie Anton Forsberg was not available as he was injured before the game and Collin Delia left the game with cramps with 12 minutes remaining in the third period. Foster entered and saved all seven shots he faced.
