Blackhawks sign prospect Anthony Louis to 2-year contract
Chicago has inked its second prospect in as many days.
The Chicago Blackhawks signed prospect Anthony Louis to a two-year entry-level contract through the 2018-19 season on Monday. Louis will report to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Louis, 22, scored 14 goals with 25 assists in 36 games in his senior season at Miami (Ohio). The Winfield, Ill., native recorded 126 points in 145 games with the RedHawks. He was named to the All-NCHC first team and is a finalists for NCHC Forward of the Year.
The 2013 sixth-round pick is an undersized left wing/center (5’8, 160 pounds), who the Hawks tried to sign last summer, but he opted to return for his senior season at Miami.
“That’s my plan as of now, especially being a hometown kid,” Louis told The Athletic last October. “It’s been a dream of mine to play for the Blackhawks one day. I’m going to work to do that.”
And his work paid off as he became the second prospect to sign with the Hawks in as many days. Chicago signed forward John Hayden, a 2013 third-round pick, to a two-year deal Sunday. Louis and Hayden join fellow forwards Alexandre Fortin, Matthew Highmore, and Graham Knott as signees for next season. CHL forwards Roy Radke, a Geneva, Ill., native, and Radovan Bondra are among those unsigned.
