The Blackhawks were able to bounce back from a rough first period with a better all around performance in the middle frame, but still find themselves down 4-1 to the Devils after 40 minutes. The Devils continued to control the play at the start of the period, and they were able to extend their 3-0 lead to 4-0 with a goal from Mike Cammaleri on a nice rush about halfway through the period. Late in the period, Patrick Kane got the ‘Hawks on the board to bring us to our 4-1 score.
Chicago will start the third period with 1:40 of power play time. Here’s hoping they can take advantage of that time and get themselves back on track.
