Blackhawks vs. Jets preview 2017: Hawks look for 1st win vs Jets this season
Chicago is 0-4 against Winnipeg this season.
The Chicago Blackhawks look to end their four-game losing streak against the Jets when they visit them Friday in Winnipeg. In their four meetings so far this season, the Jets have had the upper-hand, coming out on top all four times.
A win over the Jets will not only end the Hawks losing skid against them, but will also give them their fourth consecutive victory.
With Chicago’s 4-3 overtime win over the Wild on Wednesday, the Hawks remain in the second spot in the Central Division with 71 points and a 33-17-5 record. The Jets (25-27-4) currently sit in fifth in the Central, and are coming off a loss to the Wild on Tuesday night.
Corey Crawford is likely to start in net for the Blackhawks. In his 36 games played this season, Crawford has a 21-12-3 record with 2.59 goals-against average and .917 save percentage.
Connor Hellebuyck will man the net for Winnipeg after Ondrej Pavelec left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury that will sideline him for a week. Hellebuyck holds a 17-13-1 record, with a 2.78 GAA and .909 save percentage.
