Bryan Bickell To Stay In Chicago.
Stan Bowman continues his busy Sunday with inking Bryan Bickell to a new four year contract.
Bryan Bickell will not hit the open market this summer as he has signed a new 4 year contract, worth a reported $16 million. Bickell's huge post season was going to make him one of the more coveted free agents this summer. Some speculated that Bryan could command 4.5 to 5 million on the market. If that is the case, the Blackhawks got a bit of a discount. There was no doubt Bickell wanted to remain in Chicago and possibly gave up a few extra million to stay here. Pierre Leburn gave the breakdown of the deal via his Twitter feed.
Bickell deal: $1 M bonus plus $2 M salary for next season. $4 M in 2014-15; $4.5 M each of last 2 yrs
