Watch: Blackhawks’ Duncan Keith scores with 8.5 seconds left to beat Blues

Chicago Blackhawks veteran defenseman Duncan Keith had only scored one goal this season entering Wednesday’s game at St. Louis. And it looked like it was going to stay that way as time ticked down in the waining moments.

But then, he scored a power-play goal with 8.5 seconds left in the game to complete the Blackhawks comeback from a 3-1 deficit for a 4-3 win over their Central Division rivals at Scottrade Center.

It was also Chicago’s first win in three meetings against St. Louis.

The Blues have now dropped their fourth straight game to drop a point behind the idle Colorado Avalanche for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

St. Louis’ loss also helped the Los Angeles Kings clinch a playoff spot. Since winning their second Stanley Cup in 2014, the Kings have traded off missing and making the postseason. They missed in 2015, lost in the first round in 2016, missed last season and are back this year.
