Scott Foster gets Wikipedia page after serving as Blackhawks’ emergency goaltender

Scott Foster is taking over the internet.

The 36-year-old accountant made seven saves as an emergency goaltender for the Chicago Blackhawks in a 6-2 win over the playoff-bound Winnipeg Jets on Thursday at the United Center. For his wild story, someone created a Wikipedia page about him.

Foster signed an amateur tryout contract with Chicago hours before, and was pushed into action after starter Anton Forsberg suffered an injury during pregame warmups and Collin Delia, who was making his NHL debut, left in the third period with an injury.

Foster’s last hockey stint outside of beer league play came in 2006 with Western Michigan. He played 21 games for the Broncos and one more for the 2005-06 season.

Foster entered the game at 5 minutes, 59 seconds of the third period when Delia was injured and left the ice. Foster stopped all seven shots he saw. He was even named the No. 1 star for his performance.
