Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Jonathan Toews sing ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’ at Game 2 of NLCS

Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and Jonathan Toews gave a rousing rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh-inning stretch of Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday.

The Chicago Cubs won Game 1 of the series over the Los Angeles Dodgers thanks to a pinch-hit grand slam by Miguel Montero and a with two outs in the eighth inning, but fell in Game 2. The presence of a trio of Cup-winning Hawks couldn’t turn the tides.

Toews, always the best captain, took part of the blame if his singing helped throw the Cubbies off.

This is the first time the Cubs and Dodgers have met in the postseason since the 2008 NLDS, which Los Angeles swept.

The Cubs are trying to advance to the World Series for the first time since 1945, and win their first World Series championship in 108 years. The Chicago Blackhawks captains know the pressure the Cubs players are facing, as the three helped break a 49-year Cup drought for Chicago in June 2010. And they’ve brought two more titles back to the Windy City since.

Maybe having the Hawks championship pedigree will rub off on the Cubs, like it did in the NLDS.
