Duncan Keith Wins His Second Norris
The Blackhawks' Duncan Keith is honored at the NHL's best defenseman.
For the second time in his career, Duncan Keith has been honored with the James Norris Memorial Trophy for being voted as the defenseman demonstrating "the greatest all-around ability in the position," by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.
Keith was named on 129 of the 137 and nearly doubled the total points of second place finisher, Zdeno Chara of the Boston Bruins. Keith is now the only active, multiple Norris Trophy winner in the NHL.
Jonathan Toews was denied his second straight Frank Selke Trophy for the league's best defensive forward. The Blackhawks captain finished third behind now two time winner Patrice Bergeron and Kings' center Anze Kopitar. It looks like Bergeron has the even years while Toews will get the odds.
