Five-point scorer Jonathan Toews is just enjoying the weather
Score five points one night, walk the dog the next day. It’s all in the life.
Jonathan Toews had a big night.
A very, very big night. It’s not that often a player scores five points in a game - including a hat trick. As a matter of fact, via the Elias Sports Bureau:
The last NHL player to score at least three goals and assist on at least two others was Evgeny Kuznetsov at Edmonton on October 23, 2015 (3 goals, 2 assists). The last Blackhawks player to do it was Jeff Hamilton at Phoenix on March 10, 2007 (3 goals, 2 assists).
And this has been coming. No, Toews hasn’t had the best season overall - he himself has admitted as much - but a five-point night is an emphatic statement.
So, how does one celebrate such a night?
By enjoying the weather with his dog. How else?
Captain Serious, Captain Awesome, Captain Relatable.
