Free Agency Madness Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Lockout

Today should be an exciting day for hockey fans, just don’t expect too much action here in Chicago. Stan Bowman is more than happy to let the kids in Rockford get their shot in 2013-14, and I am ok with that. That doesn’t mean Bowman won’t make any moves. He could still bring in a veteran center, backup goalie and/or defenseman. I would love to see Matt Cullen or Boyd Gordon but I doubt either one will be signing here. If any veteran free agents are signed it won’t be anyone too exciting and it will be on the cheap.

It will be fun to watch other general mangers around the league lose their jobs over horrible contracts signed today. I will keep this page up to date with all the signings as they come across. For those of you following on Twitter just be aware of the numerous fake accounts that will be popping up today. When in doubt, look for the blue check mark.

Looks like Ray Emery will be returning to the Flyers

Best of luck to Razor, he’s going to need it with the defense in front of him!

Also appears that Daniel Alfredsson will be signing with the Red Wings <insert old Swedish player joke here>.

Andrew Ference to the Oilers

There goes my Boyd Gordon pipe dream

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hawks bringing back Michal Handzus for one year.

Nathan Horton to LUMBUS

Devils bring in David Clarkson’s replacement

Rob Scuderi to the Penguins

If it ain’t broke….

Also, Predators getting both Viktor Stalberg and Matt Cullen
